Under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana Mr. Rupani distributed interest- free loans worth Rs. 140 crores to 1 lakh women of 14,000 women’s groups (Joint Liability Earning and Saving Groups) of the state. 10 lakh women of the state would be included in it before December 2022 and loans of Rs. One thousand crores will be given. In this nine days, works of Rs. 15000 crores will be done for the people through 18000 programs across the state.

We have served more than what we have committed five years ago. Pointing the oppositions Mr. Rupani said that we don’t show fake fruits, but we commit only what we can achieve.

CM added that “We have made a number of decisions with a sense of empathy for the people and the concept of all-round development, and have delivered its benefits to the people.” Today is an opportunity to present it.  State Government has always served with the mantra of “Sauno Sath Sauno Vikas” and now “Sauna Sath thi Sauna Vikas na”. So this process of development is not possible without mutual cooperation and collaboration. Developed in Gujarat is possible only with everyone’s efforts.

Glorifying the power of women Mr. Rupani said that, we worship the power of women. The woman of Gujarat is not weak but a symbol of radiance and strength. 6 women athletes from Gujarat represent the country in various sports in the ongoing Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.

Stating that women have been given equal rights and status by the state government, Mr. Rupani said that women have equal rights in governance. In the institutions of local self-government, women have been given 50% opportunity. Today, women not only run houses, but also govern villages, cities, towns, panchayats and districts.

While proudly mentioning about giving permanent government jobs to more than one and a half lakh youth recently, CM said that 33% of the seats have been secured for women in it.

In Gujarat, various schemes are functioning for the development of different classes. Of these, 189 schemes are exclusively for women. The State Government is committed to work for empowerment and holistic development of women.

Explaining the role of Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana, CM said that on the birthday of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, we gave the gift of Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana to the women of Gujarat.

Under this scheme, ten thousand ‘Sakhi-Mandals’ have been formed in the state. This is the first scheme in the country where women get interest-free bank loans. Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana is a historic initiative in accordance with the worldwide innovative concept of Joint Liability Earnings and Saving Group. This scheme is planned in even better way than the concept of microfinance given by Muhammad Yunus of Bangladesh, which is inspiring for other states too. This scheme is initiated with the purpose of empowering women.

On the occasion. Minister of State Smt. Vibhavari Dave said that Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani has transformed Gujarat into best of the best. Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi started a separate Department of Women and Child Development in the year 2002 out of his concern for women. Then its budget was Rs. 456 crore, todays it is Rs. 3511 crores.

The state government has taken every step for the empowerment of women. Apart from providing interest-free loans to women, special provisions for women have been made by the government through Vahali Dikri Yojana, Mahila Utkarsh Yojana, Ganga Swarupa Yojana.

Mayor Mr. Keyur Rokadia said that the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Nitin Patel has done significant work in the direction of women upliftment and women security.

District Panchayat President Mr. Ashok Patel said that the state government has given due respect to women. The state has implemented schemes to give women equal status in the society. Under Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana, Rs. One lakh has been lent to 448 women groups.
